Project Description: You and your assigned team will complete a history/social studies research report and PowerPoint Presentation. This project will be based on Internet research done in your social studies class and a 500-700 word report and a nine slide PowerPoint Presentation to be completed under your CORE class.

Project Details:
Research Paper
Your research paper will consist of eight paragraphs. One paragraph will be devoted to each of the following eight topics: 1. An introduction, 2. Geography, 3. Religion, 4. Culture, 5. Political, 6. Economics, 7. Social Structures, 8. A conclusion.
PowerPoint Presentation
Your PowerPoint Presentation will contain a title slide and one slide for each of your paragraph topics. The slides should contain pictures and briefly convey the main point of the paragraph it represents.

Step 1 -- Begin research based on your CORE teacher.
1. You will choose parts for each topic. One of you will be the navigator and the other will be the scribe.
Navigator: Will navigate through the research -- with direction and imput by the scribe.
Scribe: Will take notes and help interpret research information.
The parts will switch for each paragraph/slide topic

If you do NOT find your assigned topic listed under your CORE teacher please talk to your CORE or Social Studies teacher IMMEDIATELY.

Research Note Sheet -- This document is in PDF form. You will print out a copy and divide the topics among the students in your group. After you fill out this form -- you will have an easy outline for your paper.
PowerPoint Shell -- This is a PowerPoint Presentation Shell. Download a copy into your folder and save it under one of your last names and topic abbreviation: example: chapinchina. There are eight slides -- one for each topic listed on the research note sheet. To complete your PowerPoint Presentation simply "bullet" the facts from your Research Note Sheet and add pictures.
